I’ve been in a hard accident with no airbag deploy and seat belt didn’t cinch correctly, and I didn’t die.

It should never be assumed that death is assured, you will most likely drain someone’s savings away in a coma.

I took my 2003 Odyssey to Honda last week for a repair and they replaced the airbag inflator. Again. My service rep showed me an internal Honda email that said somebody died just a couple of weeks ago from an airbag grenade in a 2002 Civic. Apparently Honda had sent out many, many recall notices but they all went to the original owner and the car had been sold multiple times. He assures me that the inflator in my wife’s 2013 Civic is safe, but Honda has just extended the warranty on it. They’ll replace it if there is a problem, but they won’t recall it.

Pretty much every motorcycle accident fatality ever could be easily avoided. Don’t ride a motorbike, ever . But I still ride... I’ve got 2 old vehicles with no airbags. I still drive them. Dunno if I’d go so far as that sticker ... but I don’t not sorta like it.
